Flagship European project for active aging - Digital solutions for the 3rd age.
- The SHAPES project (Smart and Health Ageing through People Engaging in Supportive Systems) is an innovation action funded by the “Horizon 2020” program of the EU, with the participation of 36 partners from 14 European countries.
- We develop an integrated technology platform that brings together a wide range of digital solutions focusing on the health improvement, well-being, and independence of people as they age.
- Through the platform, a large-scale network of interconnected digital products and services will be offered, empowering the elderly, their families, and caregivers.
- These solutions are aimed towards elderly adults who face a temporary or permanent decrease in their functionality and physical or mental skills but also towards helping those who are healthy so they maintain their health and well-being for as long as possible.
