EUCROWD

WHAT WE DO -> PROJECTS -> EUCROWD

We brought citizens from all over Europe together to find ways to enhance citizen participation in the commons using digital tools.

  • We organized 7 conferences/workshops all over Europe with the participation of hundreds of proposal-making citizens.
  • We conducted a study about how citizens utilize crowdsourcing and shared the results.
  • We formulated crowdsourcing policy proposals in Europe.

  • To empower European citizens to participate in the commons through crowdsourcing processes.
  • To increase knowledge about good crowdsourcing practices.

The majority of European citizens don’t know how or don’t see why they have to participate in the process of decision-making that is relevant to their country or the European Union. The results?

  • Generalized discomfort and creation of tensions between the citizens of the Member States.
  • Indifference about the future of the country and EU in general.
  • Indifference about the making of decisions that affect all of us.
  • Over 430 participants in 8 events (mostly young European citizens and EU decision-makers). Thousands of citizens were informed about the results.
  • Thousands of citizens were informed about the results.
  • Policy proposals were formulated, and relevant dissemination was carried out.
  • Online publicly available knowledge depository (Knowledge center for digital democracy) of international crowdsourcing practices and the most recent knowledge about citizens crowdsourcing at a national and European level.
  • Creation of an organization network for the support of crowdsourcing.
