To develop educators and teachers who deliver and promote educational programs on social entrepreneurship.
Social economy is a significant sector in Europe, with 2 million businesses (10% of all EU businesses) and 14 million paid employees, around 6.5% of EU workers (EC, 2017). However, this beneficial effect is hindered by different factors. Among them, the most important are:
- lack of understanding of what social entrepreneurship is,
- lack of general business skills, role models, and work experience, especially among young people (OECD/EU/2017),
- lack of specialized training and education (EU, 2013).
